Telehealth

We use Telehealth to provide services to as many people as possible. To do this seamlessly, we use a patient portal platform by a New Zealand company, Manage My Health™. This is a platform that sits between Medtech (our practice management system) and individual practitioners and patients.

Using Telehealth Allows:

  • Patients to access their own health information
  • Seamless communication between patients, the practice and individual staff members that then automatically appears in the patient records
  • Patients to manage aspects of their health care such as
  • requesting repeat prescriptions
  • booking appointments
  • viewing lab results
  • viewing personal records including medical conditions, diagnosis and notes

When you register as a patient with Health Help Line, you will be automatically be set up with a Manage My Health™ account using your email address. You can use this patient portal on any device such as a laptop, personal computer, tablet or smart phone. As long as you have access to the internet, you can access your portal at any time.

Safety

Health Help Line complies with New Zealand Privacy legislation. An audit trail can indicate who has accessed the patient portal and the patient notes in our practice management system. Manage My Health™ provides a secure platform for storing of personal information, that it describes here.

When setting up your password, think of your patient portal in the same way as you would internet banking and setup a password that is as secure for you as possible
